Our main purpose for this trip is Seaworld; and this resort is literally just down the street :) . I was actually pretty excited when I saw this was the hotel we won... this will be our first time back to this hotel since 2002, when we won this hotel as our first-ever opaque booking (through HOTWIRE)... and we loved it (it's what got us hooked on the opaque booking game!). Bidding started at $50, raised bid $2-$3 a time until at $82 got a message offering a "one time offer" to rebid if I was willing to increase my bid by $22; at which point I declined and continued raising my bids $1 at a time until it hit at $90. Regular hotel rate starts at $239/night, they did have a net-direct non-refundable rate of $169/night through the hotel's web site... which means we got a pretty good deal at nearly 47% off of the best direct booking rate.
