A little bit more than I wanted to spend, especially with parking going to run me $50+ for two days, but the Sheraton website rate for this room was $279.

I was very surprised to get the Sheraton, because of all the priceline 3*'s in Santa Monica this is by far the most expensive. I also continually checked HOTWIRE and they would show a rate of $139 for my dates which I strongly believe was the Holiday inn.

Congrats on your winning bid. I have been bidding in Santa Monica/MDR for the last few days too. My days are for 2/3-2/6 and I have yet to break the $100 mark yet. I think I am going to have to include LAX to keep my prices down. We'll see.

Regarding your receiving the Sheraton, there is often little correlation between the lowest priced hotel (thru conventional booking methods) in the zone and the hotel you'll likely receive thru priceline.
