pres001 Posted January 10, 2008 Report Share Posted January 10, 2008 I got a $40.00 bid Priceline accepted for the Radisson Clearwater Central 1-15-08 to 1-22-08.I started at $30.00 for a 2*, central St. Pete and Clearwater, rejected.Raised to $32.00 and added St Pete Beach, rejected.Raised to $35.00 added Clearwater Beach, rejected.Raised to $40.00 added Bellair Beach, bid accepted as listed above.Expedia rate for my nights is $107.00. Best previous rate I could find anywhere was for a 1* Days Inn at $53.00 per night. Link to comment
pres001 Posted January 10, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 10, 2008 I won a Priceline bid for a hotel in Clearwater, Fl and was prompted to take a rental car for $12.00 per day. That was cheaper than what I had reserved, so I took it. When I was reading what I bought I discovered the car was to be picked up at Clearwater ST. Petersburg airport, PIE. I am flying into Tampa International, TPA.I called Priceline customer service and they were willing to cancel my bid for $12.00, the cost of one day's rental.I am a novice Priceline user, obviously.I just wanted to share my experience with others and promise to be more careful in the future. I am extremely happy with my accepted hotel bid. Link to comment
