cdn_shopper
Hi,Hoping to go to Vegas on 2/11-2/14. There's a big convention happening that week. I will be checking out on Valentine's Day and prices don't seem to be high till the weekend for most places. I am only really going to go if I can get a good bargain on the hotel room. Should I book now or wait? I want a 4 star and preferably on the Strip. My only concern is staying at the Luxor. There is no shuttle from the Luxor going to the convention that I am attending. It won't kill me to take a cab but it's more convenient if I stay at one of the hotels that have a shuttle to the convention center. Any tips? My budget is around $70/night. Link to comment

cdn_shopper
Thanks for your tip. I did the same. I picked 4 stars and checked off North and South praying hard that I wouldn't get the Luxor. I split the dates because I was worried about the convention. 2/11/08-2/13/08 and then 2/13/08-2/14/08. I got Planet Hollywood for $45/night for 3 nights and after taxes it's $170.61. I'm staying there this weekend so hopefully I'll be able to put in a request for 2 beds for the future trip. Thanks!
