Priceline Hotel: 4* Miami (South Beach) Royal Palm

Are you willing to pay more for a Resort vs. a 4* vs. a 3* or is the least expensive 3* or better what you're seeking? Personally, i would try to stay at 4 stars or above in South Beach... there are a lot of "small and independent" properties in this area of varying quality.

I'll also add that if you're looking for a property which is Beachfront and has a Pool, you can't guarantee these with Priceline. If these items are of interest to you, HOTWIRE may be a better option since you can know beforehand if the property offers these amenities by the amenity icons that HOTWIRE shows (from there you can also try to identify the property beforehand). If you search HOTWIRE, does anything show up in the South Beach zone within your budget?

Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.

At the 4* level you have four re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 4* South Beach...

Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone2...

Bid $80, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* South Beach and re-bid zone3...

Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone2...

Bid $95, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* South Beach and re-bid zone4...

Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone2...

Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone3...

Bid $115

If the above is rejected you can then click the following link to book the New Clinton Hotel (a 4* rated hotel by priceline) for $122/nite. There is no booking fee thru the previous link, so it's equivalent to about a $115 bid on priceline.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

There are still four re-bid zones when bidding 4* in Miami.

Are you using the technique at If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. to determine your re-bid zones? If you believe there are only two list the zones in Miami and the highest star rating available in each one, and we'll try to guide you as to where the mistake is occuring.

This is the guide I was using for getting star ratings.
See the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ regarding using the 'retail' version of priceline to determine hotels (or re-bid zones) thru the 'name your own price' service.

From Priceline Re-Bidding Explained:

The way to check what star levels are available in each zone is to open a Priceline page, check ONLY the zone you are inquiring about, and then proceed to the next page (as if you were going to select a zone)... this will give you the available star ratings in that area. You can then hit BACK on your browser, uncheck the current box, check the next box, and repeat the process. It is important to do this before EACH attempt at adding a zone that you really don't want, as new hotels can be added and the star ratings can change at any time. (NOTE: for most users Priceline has updated their interface making the above process easier... simply check a zone and note the highest star rating available within each zone, UNcheck that zone and checkmark the next zone, repeating the process)
