rhennosy
We are planning to go to Disney on November 18th and 19th. Then on to South Beach for 20,21, 22.In Orlando we hope to stay at a resort. $100 per night would be great.I would also like to keep it around $100 per night in South Beach. We are looking for 3* with a pool, preferably beachfront.Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.Rich Link to comment
thereuare
Please use separate threads for each stay... we'll use this thread for Orlanodo 11/18-11/20, please start a NEW TOPIC for your South Beach stay. For Orlando, is the WDW area the only zone you're willing to bid, or are other nearby areas also acceptable? What is your minimum star rating and maximum bid for the Orlando leg of your stay? rhennosy
I prefer Disney area. Epcot will be our focus. We have never been to Orlando.4* or resort,110 max bid. Link to comment
thereuare
Are you willing to pay more for a Resort vs. a 4* or are you looking for the least expensive 4* or better hotel in the area? (ie- did you want to try up to your budget for a Resort before trying for a 4* or is price more important than star quality) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
rhennosy
Price is probably more important. Least expensive 4* would be preferable. Link to comment
thereuare
There is currently no 4* bidding avaialble in the Walt Disney zone, so you'll be bidding for Resort class properties. When bidding for Resort you have nine re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.I would start with the following:Select WDW Resort...Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $83, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $88, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. rhennosy
Here we go.I doubted that I could get a Resort for less than $65 so that is where I started. I went through the rebids until I got to $95 and bingo, I got the Omni Resort at Championsgate. There is a $12.50 resort fee, but that includes self park, internet and shuttles to Disney properties. Seems like a good deal to me. Thanks for the help. I will be doing South Beach next.Rich Link to comment
