Took a while, but finally landed the Marriot Marquis downtown for $74. I was hoping to grab something at a lower price, but it was not to be. Either the hotels were shy about making a Friday-only reservation, or I should have waited a few more weeks for some more inventory to open up or for them to get a bit more desperate. Am I doing it wrong?Anyway, not a bad deal. Cheapest price on Marriott.com is $169, so a nice $95 savings for a stay at a nice downtown hotel.
