TX Houston Crown Plaza IAH Airport

I had pricelined the "best" (read 4*) in the IAH area before and been disappointed with the airport hotel... parking is expensive and hard to get in and out. So I tried Sofitel as I needed 3 rooms for 1-3 days. Paid 100 to 105$ per night. The hotel was a disaster. Old rooms and smelly carpet. Fortunately some well placed complaints were heard and they upgraded the rooms--- to identically sized rooms with the same furniture. Just cleaner, newer beds and no odors.

I guess the hotwire rate gets you the crappy room at Sofitel!

I will pay more and put my guests at the Wyndham next time.

I stayed there on Sep 13th.

It was nicely remodeled from Sofitel. $70 per night was a fair deal by Priceline. :)

I stayed there when it was Sofitel and after it became Crown Plaza.

It has been improved a little, such as interia remodel and internet access.

It was $70 by Price line on Sep 13th. It is fair price I think. :)
