Hotwire Hotel: 3* Ft Lauderdale (Beach) Sheraton Yankee Clipper

Hi all - sorry if this is a duplicate message - something happened when I last attempted to post

Looking for 2 rooms - resort - beach - downtown or airport Fort Lauderdale Christmas night

Pre Cruise w/ kids

need nice hotel as it is Xmas night otherwise would simply go very cheap - but want something with a nice pool and resturant with the kids

Have tried rebidding stratgies, have used priceline in the past with great success and very happy with hotels - except Holiday Inn beach, not my favorite

I know I'll probably have hotel and cab fare with these options

Have tried

for 3 days in a row - no luck increasing amount daily and by individual daily rebidding

Have tried

Airport - Beach - Downtown

started at $100

ended today at $155

no go

suggestions? comments? advice?

Embassy Suites 3* downtown would

Not worried about low bid not accepted messages, have gotten plenty of rooms with this flashing

I did a search at HOTWIRE for your stay since you have no luck with priceline.

The best value I can find is one of the two 3* Sheraton's Clipper or Trader (my guess is Clipper) in the beach zone at $115. I did a search for 2 rooms for 2 adults and 2 children/room. Both the Yankee and Clipper are solid 3* hotels with resturants and pools. The Sheraton's is very close the port and around $10-$12 with cab from airport

The 4* Pier 66 is also at HOTWIRE for $340. But I wouldn't pay that for this hotel.

Hi thanks so much for the help - used Hotwire with Betterbidding link - as you recommended - went for 3* - fort lauderdale beach area - got Yankee Clipper for $109.00 per night plus tax - great rate, looks like a great hotel - 12/25/07 - 12/26/07 - 2 rooms - 2 adults 3 kids - total
