Priceline Hotel: Resort Maui (Kaanapali-Lahaina) Westin

I just bid $125 for a Kaanapali-Lahaina resort on Priceline via savingsbarn and the bid did not get accepted. I would like to try again. Any suggestions? I was hoping for the Westin as I see several travelers got it for $125. Thank You!

I can go to $150 - $160. I can get a decent condo for that but I would like the Westin, Sheraton or Hyatt. I do not want the Whaler but could accept it. I really like the Westin.

I would consider splitting up the bid. Do you think that is necessary? I can go as high as $150 - $160. I like the Westin and Sheraton. I don't want the Whaler. Thank You!

Since the Whaler is last reported as a Resort in the same zone as the other two properties you mentioned, there is no way to bid and avoid that property.

If you are trying to targe a specific property, or avoid a specific property, HOTWIRE may be a better option.

EDIT TO ADD: you could try splitting your bid and keeping your bids at $125 and hope that you don't get the Whaler for that amount, but no guarantees

PL now lists the Whaler as a condo in their vacation packages so I don't know if it will rear its ugly head again. If $125 was not accepted I think it will take $160 + to get something.

Bid of $135 was just rejected. How should I split up the bid if I decide to try that? Sunday-Thursday?

I would try all possible combinations up to a 4 nite stay. In other words try for the following dates:

9/7-9/14 (already rejected)

9/7-9/13

9/8-9/14

9/7-9/12

9/9-9/14

9/7-9/11

9/10-9/14

Note that each date combination includes either your check-in our check-out date.

I tried all of these combinations at $150/night with no luck. Also tried adding Kehi (no resort) at $160 with no luck.
