jands2
Hi there. We are a family of four going to New York on 28th of August for 5 nights. We want to stay in Manhattan in a 4 star and would like to have either 2 rooms or a 2 bed suite. I obviously want to pay as low as possible, would $125 be a good starting bid for each room or $200 for a 2 room suite? What is the best strategyThanks Link to comment
wliwlCindy
Well, for starters, you can not choose a 2 room suite on Priceline. You get whatever room they give you, including bed configurations. If you can do two rooms with one double bed in each (the minimum) then go ahead and try Priceline, bidding on two rooms. It's tough with a family.I might start with a $125 bid, in your preferred neighborhood and then add in zones to up the price, but I am not an expert on NYC by any means. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! As wliwlCindy points out, a 2BR suite is not an option thru priceline. To bid for 2 rooms, what is your maximum bid? Which zone(s) within Manhattan are you willing to accept? You check-out date is 9/2?Let us know the above and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. jands2
Thanks for the reply, I really don't mind too much where we stay and I am happy to pay up to $200 per room per night. We have visited NY a few years ago and found that all areas are easy to travel tooSteve Link to comment
thereuare
Just to confirm...Are you also willing to bid Downtown? This area is somewhat less prefered by the average tourist as it is slightly less convenient than the midtown areas.Let us know if we should include this area or not and we'll then suggest a strategy for you to follow.
