crahn8
Just a great story for you! We actually booked a "boutique" hotel this summer in Chicago - cant remember amenities, or exact location, but turned out to be the Tremont. Paid $75 for the reservation but when we got there, they were booked and told us we'd unfortunately have to go to their sister hotel, which was the "W". Oh my, I couldnt contain my "disappointment", seeing as this is on Lake Shore Drive and usually goes for $250 - awesome!!! Always great stuff thru Hotwire. Also paid $70 for the Swissotel - Wacker Drive. Link to comment
DeltaPurser
Oh, boy, were you LUCKY!!! I've never stayed at a "W", but it's sure up there on my list of dreams... Hope you enjoyed every single minute of it! If that had been me, I would have stayed in that room 24 hours straight... Who needs to see Chicago (no offense!) when you're at the "W"???????DeltaPurser :) Link to comment
jwee
We're staying at the Tremont, 2 rooms, May 28-30, $78. Should I call to make sure our rooms will be there? I wouldn't mind the W but the Tremont would mean less walking for my mother and is closer to our sons. Link to comment
crahn8
You're right about that = absolutely gorgeous, cool room. Very Zen. I LOVED it!! My kids were so impressed. We didnt eat there though. Too expensive. But yes, the W is definitely a must see if you can!!! Link to comment

Thanks. Link to comment

crahn8
Hmm...Swissotel? Hard to say which is nicer - the W or there. Both beautiful rooms, lobby, even the halls. Yep, we used the pool - no charge. Surprised that we never even heard about that one!! Kinda hard to get to, with upper and lower Wacker. But worth it! Link to comment
