Priceline Hotel: Philadelphia 12/8/07 3 Nights

Not to be deterred by my last attempt at a PL deal in Downtown Philly, I tried again earlier for a 4* (hopefully The Westin, as it looks nice).

Looking for 3 nights from Dec 8th (Sat/Sun/Mon) and using various rebids, I started at a modest $85 and the result was:

$85 - Rejected

$90 - Rejected

$95 - Rejected

$100 - Rejected

$105 - Rejected

So, still no luck with PL.

I am beginning to wonder if I am bidding too far in the future. My last try was for just under 3 months in advance, this one is for 4 1/2 months in advance, and so far, not one successful bid.

Should I wait and try bidding again late October, early November using the same strategy above ?

There's no point going much above $105 as Hotwire gave me (what looks like the Westin) for $124/night over the same period, and their fees appear to be slightly cheaper, so that equated to a PL bid of about $120/night.

Also following some advice from pjkdog, I tried for the 2.5* Downtown Courtyard by Marriott and used the following strategy:

$46 - rejected

$48 - Rejected

$50 - Rejected

$52 - Rejected

$54 - Rejected

I am beginning to feel that PL don't like me :)

Anyway, if anyone has any further advice, i would be grateful to hear it.

Thanks,

Kevin
