Thought I was bidding on the Crown Plaza across from Sawgrass Mall. Unfortunately, I ended up with Staybridge Suites. :)

Has anyone had luck getting this property lately? It's probably a 4-star, "Sunrise" area of FLL. Tried and got Staybridge Suites instead. Grrr... :)

You mention bidding but this is posted in the Hotwire section of the board.... can you clarify if you used Priceline or HOTWIRE? Once we know which service you used we'll be in a better position to answer your question(s) above.

If HOTWIRE can you also list the amenties shown to be associated with the property you received. You can still view these by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY STUFF link near the top right of their home page.

If Priceline, let us know that as well and we'll move this thread to that section of the board.

Sorry... obviously I'm quite new to this. Despite my use of the term "bidding" I did mean to say I "purchased" through HOTWIRE (both times). Here are the amenities you asked for. Thanks.

When trying to ID hotels you need to mach up the amenities exactly. If you find something that isn't a match for what has previously been reported (and the Crowen Plaza in this zone has not yet been reported) or even if it has, it is best to ask for help... we can't see the name of the hotel either, but at least others can confirm what you think you're seeing and hopefully keep you out of 'trouble'.

With opaque purchases, you're never purchasing a specific hotel, the best you can do is make an educated guess (sometimes that guess can be much more educated then others). Even when everything matches up perfectly, you can still be surprised as new hotels are added/removed all the time and other hotels are upgraded, downgraded, and the amenities change.

Sorry to hear you didn't get the hotel you were hoping for, but at least this is just a one nite stay and hopefully things will go better with your future purchases... always feel free to ask for help before you buy or bid for a hotel.

Looking for one night in FLL August 25. Trying to get the Crowne Plaza across from Sawgrass Mall. Here are the amenities of the only 4* listed on Hotwire in that area:

It seems to match what the hotel's website indicates. Has anyone had experience with this one?

This is a match for the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure so that would be our best guess.
