slickvguy
Linked via savingsbarn.I didn't want to stay downtown this time (relatives we're visiting live near the DVP), so I was glad to read about the re-bidding zone strategy. Thanks. And priceline makes it much easier with their new format to see which stars are in each area. I didn't need the rebidding zone strategy this time, but it's very useful to know for next time. Bid 3* Don Valley $45. It came back with an "add $13" offer. That was fine with me. Entered the $58, and was accepted. I knew it would be the Crowne Plaza. Have stayed there a number of times, and it's just perfect for what I wanted. Total $141.01 USD for 2 nights. With the current exchange rates, that is such a steal! :) Oh, and this Crowne Plaza has free outdoor parking right in front of the entrance. Sweet. Once again, thanks to the posters and those who run this site for all your valuable help! Link to comment

slickvguy
Just a heads up to anyonre who reads my post - make sure to read my review of this hotel in the Hotel Reviews section before bidding for Don Valley 3*. This hotel has gone way downhill, has mandatory valet parking @ $16/night, and has major contstruction on-site. Not a great choice until at the very least the construction stops. Link to comment
