I wouldn't recommend it, to be honest.Personally, I'd much rather recommend taking your chances by bidding for a 4* in the River North/North Michigan Ave. area (if that is your desired area) on Priceline. I'd start bidding for a 4* at $70 per night for these dates. $70 may not be quite enough to be accepted, but I don't think it's far off. The worst possible 4* that could come up would be the Millennium Knickerbocker, which is still better than the Tremont. Link to comment

I'm happy to see a lot of people winning the Intercon, as it's an interesting, very historic hotel that will be changed quite a bit in the next few years (so see it now before they totally redo half of it.)
