yellowdog
girlncalifornia - Welcome to BetterBidding! Please read this about when to bid: When to Bid on PricelineDon't take for granted that you can score an extra night for the same rate. There could be a "rate change" for the day after/before your date. also check the board for reported wins around your date in the zone(s) you want to stay in. Have you looked at HOTWIRE for your stay?Just post if you need any further help.Good luck.Henrik. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!NYC is usually cheap (relatively speaking :) ) during the summer, so i think you're budget should be fine. However, do you also want to include the UM/CPS in your bidding... since you say price is important, this will give you more bidding opportunities as well as open the up number of hotels that could possibly accept your bid, and the area is just as convenient (in most user's opinion) as the other two you mentioned.Let us know and we'll then suggest a strategy for you to follow.PS- not sure how much budget is a factor, but if you're willing to stay in Jersey City (NJ) it's a quick 10-15 minute train ride into Manhattan and i think you can get a great deal there... under $100/nite Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
girlncalifornia
thanks to you both. got valuable info. i am willing to bid on the um/cps area. i'd rather stay in the manhattan area to get the whole "new york" experience. thanks again! Link to comment
