ibhappy
I checked with the St. James and they don't have a fitness center so the original descrption was in error. I assume that they realized this and removed it. Still it, would be nice to know what this property is for sure. If it's the St. James, I'm inclined to grab it for this price. Link to comment
thereuare
Here is a report for the St James New Orleans for an upcoming stay for 6/25-6/27.If you then search these dates on HOTWIRE you'll see a 4* hotel in this zone without the fitness icon... so i would say a good guess that the Fitness icon has been removed and that the hotel you're seeing is indeed the St James, but no report of this hotel yet without the Fitness icon so can't say if this is the case until somebody reports it as such. Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. ibhappy
Thanks. Priceline has the Wyndham Whitney and the Hilton New Orleans as boutique hotels and they are in this area, but I doubt it's one of these properties. Link to comment
PapaCat
You can currently book the St James for $69 a night through their own website and avoid 3rd party booking fees. Be aware this hotel is reported to charge $8 a night for incidentals (phone, internet, and safe use) and has refused to let guest waive the charge. Parking is also rather expensive at $16 for regular, $25 for valet, per day. We all rely on each other for information. Please do your part to keep BetterBidding the best place to research Priceline bids: 1. Remember to start your bidding with the BB PRICELINE link. 2. When you win, post your results here so others can learn from your experience. 3. If you had to do rebids or have bidding tips, pass them along when you can. THANKS! Link to comment

Even with HOTWIRE's booking fee this comes out to less than a hotel direct purchase :) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
