sugarking
Today I bid on a 4* Downtown Charleston, SC for 4/16 ($70). It was rejected. I cannot figure out how to locate a new zone in Charleston that does not have any 4*. I would like to raise my re-bid amount. Thank you, in advance. Link to comment
bturner13
First of all, welcome to BB!Go back to the Charleston, SC hotel page on Priceline and check each area/zone separately for star ratings. You should see that there are 8 other zones, besides the Downtown Charleston zone in the city, that do not have a 4* hotel listing. Wow! There are tons of bidding combinations. I think you will have better luck finding a 3* hotel like DoubleTree or Embassy Suites. Also, take a look at maps on yahoo.com (maps.yahoo.com) for what hotel are in the downtown area. Remember to select hotels under Travel & Transportation. Please keep us posted on how things shake out!Anyone else want to help out here and fill in the blanks. :) Link to comment
thereuare
I think you did a good job BT!There is further information here: PRICELINE TIPS - RE-Bidding Explained which mentions the following:The way to check what star levels are available in each zone is to open a Priceline page, check ONLY the zone you are inquiring about, and then proceed to the next page (as if you were going to select a zone)... this will give you the available star ratings in that area. You can then hit BACK on your browser, uncheck the current box, check the next box, and repeat the process. It is important to do this before EACH attempt at adding a zone that you really don't want, as new hotels can be added and the star ratings can change at any time.
