TravelGuy
$219 on hyatt.com- 3* bid of $35 failed- Dropped down to 2.5* at $37 for acceptance and upgrade (convinced that Courtyard by Marriott, which was $169 on marriott.com, would not go for less than $40).- had bid this 5-6 times over the last month at $35/$37 with same prevailing rates; last rejection 3 days ago.Hyatt Regency Jersey City On The Hudson2 Exchange Place Jersey City, New Jersey 07302 Check-In Date: Tuesday, March 16, 2004 Check-Out Date: Friday, March 19, 2004 Your Offer Price: $37.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $111.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $22.76 Total Charges: $133.76 Link to comment
TravelGuy
I forgot to say that Doubletree was $132 on doubletree.com (also unlikely to come up under $40).Looks like the going rate for the Hyatt can sometimes be a bit more than usual. I had seen just one rejection at $35 and acceptance at $37 on TOBB, but thought it could possibly be a fluke or reporting error. Link to comment
thereuare
Interesting report!Strange to see $37 accepted when the prevailing rate is $219, and as per THIS POST see a $40 bid rejected with the prevailing rate of $109/internet ($119/cancellable).Makes you wonder what they're thinking! Thanks for the additional insight (and welcome back to NYC!)
