Oh well. Mixed reviews on Trip Advisor, but it is undergoing renovations, so hopefully they will be done by December. I believe this is a new hotel for the board. Sorry, but since this was just meant to be a "tester" (I really didn't think I would get a 3* for that low) I did not use the Savings Barn link. I have two more hotels to get for this trip, so I will use it for sure. Long Tall Sally Posted August 3, 2007 Author Report Share Posted August 3, 2007 I won a hotel in Fort Lauderdale for December 15/07 at the 3* level. Priceline now has it as a 2*. I can't find anything on their website covering this. Has this happened to anyone else? I am going to email them, but was just wondering what everyone else's experience has been. Link to comment
thereuare Posted August 3, 2007 Report Share Posted August 3, 2007 Contact priceline and they will likely either give you a choice:-cancel the reservation for a full refund-keep the reservation and offer you a discount or bonus money to use on a future purchaseLet us know what their response is and what you decide if/when you contact them (phone may take a while... may be easier to email them since you have some time before your stay and it's not a "pressing" issue). However, i'd contact them sooner (rather than later) just to protect from the hotel being upgraded back to 3* while you wait to contact them. I will let you know what their response is.The wierd thing is that when I look at Mytrips it is still listed as a 3*win, but when I click on the transactions it says I have won a 2*. Link to comment

The CSR said they could not give me a discount, but they would cancel the reservation if I wanted. I did cancel and now I will have to decide which way to proceed; either bid for a 2* at a lower price or try again for a 3* (or higher). Link to comment
