Priceline Hotel: 4* San Francisco (Airport SFO) Sheraton Gateway

I know when searching for Hotwire hotels we can see if they offer an airport shuttle. What about for Priceline? If I bid on an airport hotel location (in this case SFO) do I have any way of knowing if the hotel will offer a shuttle prior to bidding/booking? Also, is there a PRICELINE link we should be using instead of just going directly to the site?

Most hotels in airport zones will probably offer a shuttle, but this is not a requirement of a hotel in an airport zone.

If you require a shuttle and don't want to risk receiving a hotel that doesn't offer a shuttle than HOTWIRE might be a better option.

After going back and forth a bit, I decided to use PL over HW for a one night stay in the San Francisco Airport area. First bid of $75 rejected, next bid of $80 rejected; final bid of $85 accepted.

Total with fees came to $105. HW had a 4* for $115 ($136 with fees) - though no way of knowing for sure if it would have been the same hotel. Best AAA rate through the hotel's website for the same night was $188 after taxes; best rate on hotel's site w/o a discount was $233 (this rate also is non-refundable).

Congratulations on your win... and this hotel does have a shuttle, which they share it with the nearby Hyatt.

Hyatt shares shuttle with Marriott, not with Sheraton. But Sheraton does indeed have a shuttle. It doesn't run as frequently as Hyatt/Marriott's, so you might want to call from the courtesy phone at the pickup area to let them know you're there and find out when the shuttle would be coming by.

Thanks for the correction... it's been 1.5 years since i was there. I do remember that i stayed at the Hyatt :), but guess i had the shared shuttle wrong.

Thank you for the advice about calling in. I'll probably send an e-mail before I leave Boston giving them the flight info. At 11:00 PM, they may still be on their normal schedule, but it can't hurt to give them my flight info incase there's any adjustments to their schedule they may need to do. Of course, waiting 20 minutes isn't the worst thing either.
