lemonie
My dates for New York are March 30th - April 2nd (3nights) and I'm trying to spend max $180 for something decent in preferably in Manhattan. Any suggestions on particular bidding strategies given our limited time frame? This is my first time using a website like Priceline (or Hotwire) so I'm not sure the best way to do this. Do you think we would have a chance of getting a 4 Star or would it be better to stick to 3?Thank you! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!Your budget presently looks fine... HOTWIRE has a 4* hotel in the MTE zone for $162 (most likely the Inter-Continental or the Grand Hyatt). You can either go with that or try for a better price thru Priceline. If you want to try priceline, we can suggest a bidding strategy, just let us know if MTE, MTW, and UM/CPS are all acceptable? If you opt to go with Hotiwre please use this HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase.Let us know which route you'd like to go and/or how it goes. lemonie
Thanks so much for the tip. I'm going to discuss it with my traveling partner first, but $162 is definitely a good deal! I'm also interested in staying April 6th-8th 2 nights, any suggestions for those nights? Probably around the same budget, we could probably go up a bit in price, but it looks like it could be a little trickier due to Easter weekend. Thanks again for your help!Oh and we're not too picky about the area since the subway's so easy to take anyways. Mainly somewhere at least 3* or higher if possible. MTE MTW UM/CPS are all fine. lemonie
Sorry for the extremely late update. We ended up staying at a conference rate over these dates as it was a pretty good deal for a hotel right in Times Square and friends of ours were staying at the same property. We did end up booking through HOTWIRE over the following dates and the results of that stay are posted in a different Hotwire Thread. Thanks for the help! Link to comment
