Four guys are looking for a great deal on a 4-star hotel on the Vegas Strip any weekend in May. We can do a Thur-Sun or Fri-Mon stay but we CANNOT involve 5/11/07. We would love any suggestions on how to structure our trip for the best possible price.

Many thanks in advance for your assistance!!!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Are you looking for one or two rooms? Most Vegas hotels now charge for more than double occupancy... if you're only seeking one room for the four or you, do you want to 'declare' quad occupancy or are you comfortable only listing double occupancy and hoping for a room with 2 beds (this isn't guaranteed)?

What is your expected budget and minimum star rating?

Let us know the above and we'll advise accordingly.

First, I really appreciate your personal reply to my posting. Your patience and persistence with us newbies is amazing.

Regarding our trip: Ideally we would like to stay in a place that is

1.) VERY convenient to the strip and

2.) has a nice swimming pool area.

After much thought, we have decided that we should probably get 2 rooms just to play it safe and I'm sure that the extra space will be nice.

Our target price is $70 per night. We are crossing our fingers for a 4-star but a 3-star is also acceptable if it meets criteria 1 & 2 from above.

The casino gold special was a very nice suggestion but unfortunately wasn't availble for the weekend we decided to go.

In the end, we booked the Sahara Casino and Hotel for $90 a night 5/17 - 5/20 (Orbitz). We are pleased with the deal as this appears to be a nice hotel on the north side of the strip and it has a monorail stop and very nice looking pool.

Thank you MillerMan and ThereUAre for your suggestions. I will definitely attempt to use better bidding for future trips and post purchase rates for the the forum.
