Priceline Hotel: Resort Tucson (North) Hilton El Conquistador

We "won" the Hilton El Conquistador for an $80 bid for the night of March 5th. We had bid on a 3* (the highest shown as being available), but were upgraded upon bid acceptance to this hotel (listed on betterbidding as being in the resort category). There was an offer to extend our stay, but our travel plans only allow us to stay for that one night, unfortunately.

Can you please clarify the hotel and/or zone that you received?

There are two Hilton properties in Tucson... the Hilton East (3* in the East zone) and the Hilton El Conqustador (Resort in the North zone).

If you're not sure of which you received, what is the address as per Priceline's winning bid screen? Does that page mention anything about an upgrade?

Please let us know so that edit the topic title accordingly.

As stated in the title and body of the post, I received the Hilton El Conquistador (North zone, then). Not a clue how to edit the title of the post, but that's the hotel I got :)

When I was bidding for Tucson last week Priceline didn't have a 3* option in North Tucson. Just 1*, 2*, and Resort. Maybe you got upgraded from 2* to Resort?

Trekkin--no, it was definitely a 3*. Most likely, there is just not any 3* availability for your particular dates.

The El Conquistador is a Resort. I 'won' this for March 3,4,5 '07 for $75/night. Hotel is terri9fc. Bit of a trip to the golf course which I thought to be overpriced at $135. There is a nine hole on the property $45. Restaurants are of mediocre quality, but pool and grounds are superb.
