tiffy1976
I have been trying to get a Resort Hotel in San Juan on 3/16 through Priceline. I've bid up to $130 and have been rejected each time. Any suggestions? Link to comment

tiffy1976
Thank you. I've been using savings barn since signing up. I really don't have a backup yet, I just recently started looking for a hotel. I want it to be on the beach, and would like to stay under $150.00, but I'm really just looking for a good deal. I will be leaving on a cruise on 3/17, so close enough to the pier and airport. Link to comment
thereuare
I think you need to find yourself an acceptable back-up first, as that will tell you if you're expectations for a Resort property are realistic within your budget. I took a quick look at a few Resort rated properties for this date and they're all sold-out, except for the Marriott which is priced at $275/nite.Let us know if you find anything acceptable within your budget. tiffy1976
I am looking for a hotel on Hotwire for 3/16/07. The results came back with a 3.5 star hotel for $179.00. Description: Near Beach, Oceanfront, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Laundry Facilities.Any help identifying it would be appreciated. Link to comment
thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. If you ultimately use HOTWIRE then we'll move this entire thread to that section of the board. If you click "continue" or "hotel details" on the HOTWIRE page where this selection is offered, do you see more than just the eight amenities listed above? tiffy1976
Yes, the hotel details included more amenities than the eight listed above: Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services. Previously listed anemities from above are: Near Beach, Oceanfront, casino, Fitness Center, pool, restaurant, Business Center and Laundry Facilities. It also says: "This distinctive establishment offers comfortable rooms, personal service and some upscale features. " Is this a more helpful description to attempt to identify the hotel? Does this seem like a good deal for 3/16/07? Thanks for your help. Link to comment
thereuare
This is a match for the Condado Plaza Resort (formerly the Wyndham Condado Plaza) so that would be our best guess.Rates directly from their website start at $189/nite so a $179 rate thru HOTWIRE doesn't seem like a very good deal (and i believe there is construction going on at the hotel) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
