thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! This is a Thursday-Monday stay which is typically one of the worst day of the combination you can have in Vegas as rates are usually 2x-4x higher on weekend dates than midweek... so even splitting.bid isn't very helpfuly since it requires two splits (ie- 3 hotels).I'm doubtful that you'll be successful for a 4* property given your current maximum bid... we can suggest a strategy to try, but i think you'll need to compromise somewhere; either raising your maximum bid or lowering your star rating. You can book the Excalibur for $121/nite and that's cancellabe... if that is of interest you may want to lock that in now as a back-up while you decide which route to take or while you continue to try to beat it.Let us know your thoughts and we'll take it from there. Long Tall Sally
Have you considered staying off the strip? The Orleans gets good reviews, and you can get it for an average of $70 for those dates (plus $5 resort fee :) ) by going to southwest.com, and then getting a price match directly from the Orleans (which would be cancellable). Mike H
Hello,Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. Our last trip to Vegas we stayed at Circus Circus, I was hoping to class it up a bit for this one. I will have to look into your suggestions.Thanks,Mike. Link to comment

Mike H
Averages to $80 a night. Link to comment
thereuare
It's certainly no 4*, and not even the best 3* property (nor the worst), but if you go with realistic expectations i'd probably take it at that price. It's also cancellable (if booked thru their website) so you can always lock that in to have something at an affordable price and continue to search for a better deal. uviedo
Have you tried bidding yet? I'm also going those exact same days and I'm looking for a good deal on priceline. I'm just afraid I'll get something off the strip since I've heard the strip area does not always mean the strip. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks. Link to comment
Mike H
Ended up booking the IP for $80 a night directly on their site. Great location, mediocre rooms, however I would stay again. Make sure to get a non-smoking room.Thanks,Mike. Link to comment
