sherbstreit
Hi. I am looking at a 2.5 star hotel in Schaumburg for 1/13-1/14/07 for $53.00. The amenities are breakfast, pool and internet. This is a special treat for me and my two sons (6 & 9). So we don't need a fancy place. I really want a place with an indoor pool so I'm not sure I'll be able to identify well enough to use hotwire. But the price sure makes me want to try.Any help is greatly appreciated. Link to comment
lindabobhat
No idea on the 2.5 star, but I would almost never book a 2.5 star on Hotwire. It's about the equivalent of a 2 star on Priceline - maybe a La Quinta? If I were you, I'd go with the 3.5 star suite hotel that comes up in the Arlington Heights area for $49 - the price is better and I can almost assure you that it's the Sheraton Suites Elk Grove (amenities Suite, Fitness, pool, restaurant, laundry, high speed internet & golf nearby.) Nice indoor pool. I would also recommend the 3 star that comes up in Buffalo Grove/Arlington Heights North for $30 - that's almost certainly the Hotel Indigo in Palatine (amenities Fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, laundry, golf nearby & tennis nearby.) My only concern is that the pool might be a little deep for your boys & the rooms have showers only - no bathtubs. But my kids are 8 and 5 and good swimmers - they liked the pool very much. And for one night, we managed without the bathtup. For $30 on Hotwire, it's hard to go wrong with this hotel. Really cute beachy decor - great beds. The Sheraton is nice too - the two-room suites might appeal to you.I'd be happy to answer any other questions you might have. I've used Priceline and Hotwire extensively in the North, Northwest and West Suburbs and have stayed in many of the properties. Link to comment
thereuare
Before trying to tack down this property... is there a reason you're not seeking the HOTWIRE 3* property (higher rated) for $33 (lower price)??From the following link this 3* would appear to be the Hawthorn Suites Schaumburg North (which as per their website has an indoor pool :) )Would that work for your plans? Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. sherbstreit
I appreciate your assistance. We ended up going to Chicago only for the day so we didn't end up needing a hotel. Link to comment
