paintingtracey
I used the board as a source of info and strategy for my Nov 2-5, 2006 trip. I started with 4* downtown 125, rejected. Then, 4* downtown and west charleston 145 accepted--Rennaissance Hotel a marriot property. Considering a lot of the downtown hotels are going for 250 to 300 or more a night I felt that was a great result. There is a big art event going on with all the galleries that weekend for which I am going. The hotel seems to be in the heart of downtown, and I have been told that once you are down there, you don't need a car as they have a trolly. That saves on car rental and parking. A cab from the airport is about 25-30.00. Link to comment

goldendeal
If your going to pay 60.00 + tip round trip from airport with a cab, why not rent a compact car , if nothing eles for the freedom of having a car. You can probably get a car for 12 to 15 a day. Enterprise has some cars 9.99 a day. Just a thought. Link to comment
