bzg1234
On Priceline. Just started at $55 and got the price. When we arrived at the Renaissance, they said they were very sorry but they were out of rooms and needed to move us to the Marriott. They're doing some renovating and 3 floors are out of commission but apparently they're national booking people aren't aware of that and are overselling the hotel at times. I was a little disappointed but didn't have a problem moving to the Marriott. However, they said they only had authority to move us for one night because they did have vacancies on the 2nd night. I told them that wasn't acceptable. While I'd prefer to have stayed both days in the Renaissance, I didn't want to go hotel hopping. After a lot of back and forth, they finally relented.Marriott is comfortable and the area is very nice. Link to comment
