onebumwheel
Hi there,Im looking to travel to New Orleans on October 5-8 and want to stay in the French Quarter, but Downtown might be acceptable, too. I've found some great prices on Hotwire for those dates, but none of the amenities seem to match the list you've posted, nor the other posts Ive read. Can you please help? We'd really like Hotel Monteleone or Le Pavilion, if possible, and it seems like those do come up from time to time. Please let me know what you think. Thanks! Link to comment

onebumwheel
Looking back over the list, it looks like a couple of these do match up. I am curious what the $87 hotel is, as I cant find anything that lists High Speed or Golf in the area. 4* Downtown $87 Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, High Speed Internet, Golf Nearby3.5* Downtown $97 Fitness Center, Restaurant, High Speed Internet (Whitney Wyndham???)4* French Quarter $133 Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center (Hotel Monteleone???)Also, do you think the rates will go down, as this is still 3 months out? Thank you for your help. Link to comment
slruud
Having quiered about the 4* a couple weeks ago, it appeared it was the W Hotel New Orleans...as opposed to the W Hotel French Quarter. Got it on Priceline for $71/nite. Link to comment
thereuare
Also, do you think the rates will go down, as this is still 3 months out? See the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ. Let us know when you are ready to commit to a purchase, as if you choose to wait then above properties may not even still be offered and replaced with different hotels. onebumwheel
I am ready to commit. Shopping plane tix right now. Was I correct on my guesses on the two I identified? Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
The 4* Downtown is suspected to be the W, although previously seen at the 4.5* level and no report of it being downgraded, but that is the best guess. The 3.5* in this zone matches teh Whitney so that is our thought there. The 4* FQ matches both the Hotel Monteleone and the Omni, so either would be the best guess for that property. Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase. (also note that there are airline links in our support page if you are booking with any of those airlines/agencies).Good luck and let us know how it goes or if you have any further questions. slruud
Be aware there is a W Hotel French Quarter also. Link to comment
