soxcited
First off, I wanted to say that I am a new member and this is a great site! I am trying to get a hotel in Key West from 06/17/06 - 06/18/06. Hotwire shows $180 for 3.5* and $134 for 3*. Their list of amenities are:3.5*: (I believe this is Casa Marina Resort)ResortBeachfrontRestaurant(s)Pool(s)Fitness CenterTennis Nearby3*: (I believe this is Courtyard Key West Waterfront)Restaurant(s)Fitness CenterBusiness CenterPool(s)Tennis NearbyLaundry FacilitiesIs it possible to identify these? There are no re-bid zones or 3.5* hotels in Priceline (it is either 3* or resort).Would prefer a Resort. Max bid will be $150. No back-up reservation. Have not bid yet. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance. Link to comment
thereuare
I agree with your guess on the 3.5* property being the Casa Marina but i think a better guess on the 3* is the Radisson. As far as bidding Resort on Priceline, the Wyndham properties previously reported at the Resort level in this zone no longer appear to be managed by Wyndham, while the Hyatt is currently undergoing renovations:The resort has scheduled renovation of the tile around the pool to begin on May 30, 2006, with completion by June 28th, if not sooner. The actual pool should only be closed for about 3 weeks beginning May 30. Guests will have access to our beach, marina sun deck as well as our swim platform in the Gulf of Mexico. Or, arrangements have been made for guests to use the pools at nearby hotels....so not sure if you'd:1) want that property given there is no pool2) if Priceline would still currently offer this as a 'resort' (due to no pool)3) if Priceline would even sell rooms during this periodWhat are your thoughts on the above and also on the likely change of the 3* property in question? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
soxcited
I do not think any of them will be upto my expectations, after reading Tripadvisor.Casa Marina Resort POPULARITY INDEX #39 of 66 hotelsTraveler rating: 3.0 of 5Radisson Hotel Key WestPOPULARITY INDEX #41 of 66 hotelsTraveler rating: 3.0 of 5Hyatt Key West Resort and MarinaPOPULARITY INDEX #28 of 66 hotels Traveler rating: 3.5 of 5And no pool! Sunset Key Guest Cottages look nice, I would have increased my max bid but I am not sure If I can bid with Priceline or Hotwire (via SavingsBarn of course). Link to comment
