Priceline Hotel: 4* Chicago (NMA - River North) 8/11 - 8/13

I have bid up to $61 using my three rebids but no luck. Am I bidding too early? How high should I bid? Thanks for your help.

I don't think you're bidding high enough... some hotels in this area are showing sold-out for these dates.

What is your maximum bid? Where and how much would you be pay if not successful with the opaque suppliers?

I guess I would be willing to pay up to $100. I would like to stay in the N. MIchigan Ave. area. I am attending a wedding and the wedding hotel is charging $114 and it is not even a good hotel so I am trying to find my own accomodations. I checked you convention website and it is not showing anything for those dates. Any idea why places are sold out? THanks for your help!

While Hotwire is offering prices over $100 for a bunch of different hotels (including what appear to be the Palmer House and the Chicago Hilton, but those are in the Loop area), prices don't look *too bad*. While no guarantees, I would be surprised if you didn't get anything for under $100, but I definitely think you will likely need to come quite a bit closer to $100 (probably somewhere around in the $80-85 range and maybe a few dollars higher.)

I think you should start trying now, but if you don't get anything, you may want to space out your bidding a *little bit* instead of re-attempting every 24 hours.
