iamlisad
Started looking for a hotel for 2 nights prior to our Alaska cruise next summer and was surprised to find that several hotels near the top of our list were already full. Must be something going on June 18 - 20, 2004. Prices are REALLY high, too. So instead of waiting as I had previously planned, I went ahead and bid now. First bid of $80 for 4* downtown Seattle was rejected. Re-bid including 3* at the same price, hoping to get the Crowne Plaza. Perhaps I should have dropped the bid some, but I was anxious to get something considering the availability. I got the Red Lion on 5th Avenue. After poking around and reading any reviews I could find, and checking prices on Travlocity, Orbitz, etc., I feel good about the hotel and the price. I saw prices anywhere from $145 - $195. Has anyone had recent stays at this hotel? Opinions on the price? Thanks much -I am Lisa D - in Pittsburgh, PA Link to comment
