deaMom Posted April 1, 2006 Report Share Posted April 1, 2006 On 3/31/06 bid $51 for 2.5* Napa-Sonoma (Santa Rosa - Rohnert Park - Petaluma). We were hoping for the Courtyard by Marriott downtown Santa Rosa.Bid accepted! and we were upgraded to Hilton Sonoma County / Santa Rosa, a 3* hotel. $51 per night plus $14.22 taxes and fees = $65.22 total. We stayed at this hotel a few years ago and the room needed a lot of maintenance, plus the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate. We are hoping the rooms have been updated since our last visit. nvherron Posted April 2, 2006 Report Share Posted April 2, 2006 The hotel was totally renovated in 2004. I stayed there in Spring 2005 and it was much much better than previous stays. Definitely better than the Courtyard. But the Courtyard has a better location.In the future, you may want to consider bidding 4*. My friend got the Hyatt Vineyard Creek about 5 weeks ago for $65. That's probably the best value to be had in all of Santa Rosa.Happy Travels! Link to comment
