dwsqrd
I have no idea what I'm doing. I mean, I thought I did and I was trying to get help from another site to make sure I would get the best deal, but one of the mods who was "helping" me acted like I was bothering her so I gave up. I want to bid for a 2.5* hotel in Northwest Austin or Round Rock with North Austin being an alternate. Can anyone help? I'm in kind of a time-crunch here. Thanks in advance! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! What is your maximum bid? What do you mean by "North Austin being an alternate"... you want to bid the other two zones first and then if rejected, also consider add the North Austin zone?Let us know and we'll suggest a strategy to follow. dwsqrd
Max bid $50 and, actually, any of those 3 areas would be fine. I don't have a preference. THANKS! :) Link to comment
thereuare
At the 2.5* level you have one re-bid zone available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 2.5* Northwest...Bid $30, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $35, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 2.5* Round Rock...Bid $30, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $35, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 2.5* North...Bid $30, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $35, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 2.5* Northwest and Round Rock...Bid $40, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $44, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 2.5* Northwest and North...Bid $40, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $44, if rejected close browser and re-access Select 2.5* Northwest and Round Rock and North...Bid $47, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $50.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. thereuare
Congratulations on your win... we're happy to see your success and are glad to have helped. Looks like a nice deal that fell within your budget. This hotel had previously been reported as a 3* (although it may have been downgraded to a 2.5*)... do you see anything on your bid confirmation screen indicating the star rating of this property? (or a message near the top, "Congratulations we've found a hotel for you... and upgraded your star quality to 3 stars..."Thank you for using the PRICELINE links at SavingsBarn.com to begin your bids.Enjoy your stay. dwsqrd
No, the confirmation says that it's 2.5*. I read somewhere else that it had been downgraded when it changed over to the Park Plaza and that it was being renovated. I hope that's the case but will let you know when I return. Thanks, again.
