Any suggestions would be appreciated.WAgirl :) Link to comment
thereuare
Are you willing to bid both the North and South zones of this area?Note that the Hawaii Prince is a 4* hotel that comes up frequently in the North zone; i have stayed there and would have no problem returning as we really enjoyed our stay, but it is NOT beachfront.Let us know and we'll advise further. LoneStar
Look at hotwire and priceline vacations for an idea as to what might be available. It will probably take some luck to get something a week from now in Hawaii, but it's certainly possible. Link to comment
WAgirl
This would be good too. Hawaii Prince. I looked at the pics on priceline from you (theruare), thanks nice shots. Do you think I can book this for 3/29/06 - 4/4/06 for $150 a night. I know that it's not beachfront but it does guarantee harbour/ocean views in all room which is great! Question though, how do you access the beach??? How far of a walk to the Hawaiin Hilton beach area? Please advise how to bid, as I have tried and failed up to $125.Thanks for all your help. thereuare
You could walk to the Hilton Hawaiin Village or there is a shuttle (every 30-45 minutes) that takes you to Waikiki Beach (unil 10pm i think). If you want to try bidding for either the North or the South area, you have two re-bid zones available (note: zones with Resort but no 4* properties are NOT re-bid zones). If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* North Waikiki...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $120, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* North Waikiki and re-bid zone2...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $130, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* South Waikiki...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $120, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* South Waikiki and re-bid zone2...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $130, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* North Waikiki and South Waikiki...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $140, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* North Waikiki and South Waikiki and re-bid zone2...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $150.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. WAgirl
Update... okay I just did exactly how you laid out the bidding but no go... there were a few times that it was a duplicate (maybe from my recent past bidding) but otherwise I was able to work it out to my $150 limit. very sad :) Maybe i should consider breaking up my stay or going for a 3* instead. since I can't bid again until (is it 24 hours?) tomorrow, i'm getting desparate! I want to get the hotel taken care of so I can plan our activities. Will I be able to bid still if I try the 3*, please show me how if I am able to do this now. Thanks again. I figure there must be some sort of event going on.. spring break??Thanks all! Link to comment
thereuare
You can bid for 3* now but this will also 'reset the 24 hour clock' for your 4* bidding tomorrow (if unsuccessful for the 3*)What is your maximum bid at the 3* level?
