IT'S BACK... get notified when Rates Drop!!   03/19/2018

Our newest development, RateDrop.com will monitor hotel prices for your specific dates and notify you if the Rate Drops!   Monitor hotel prices from both PRICELINE EXPRESS and HOTWIRE, as well as 'regular' retail hotel rates, based upon the specific criteria you choose.   While the benefits of tracking rates from Priceline and Hotwire are obvious, another use is to purchase a refundable hotel rate using RefundableRates.com and then also set an alert for that specific hotel u

Hello,

I am travelling back to NY area (Long Island - Lake Grove) in about two weeks - for 2 nights:  8/24 - 8/26.

Again, I would need a room with an attached living room/kitchenette in the Lake Grove area.

Preferred star/rate:  Minimum 3* / Maximum of 150/Night.

If this type of configuration is not an option, then I can also consider two separate rooms:  3* / but $100 max/night.

My preference however is the suite type of unit....

thanks - Best wishes of the night.    from Noeal

As there is no 'Lake Grove, NY' zone on PRICELINE i'm assuming the following zones are close enough:

Stony Brook - Port Jefferson

Hauppauge - Islandia

Macarthur Airport (ISP)

... any others acceptable?

Using the above zones these look closest to your needs for this trip:

3* Hauppauge - Islandia (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $176/nite with (or $167 with the board's 5% off Priceline Coupon):
Free Parking
Free Breakfast
Fitness Center
Free Internet in public areas
Pets Allowed
Business Center
Indoor Swimming Pool
Free Internet
Indoor or Outdoor Pool
Free Internet in room
==> Residence Inn Long Island Hauppague/Islandia

3.5* Hauppauge - Islandia (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $108/nite with:
Free Parking
Airport Shuttle
Fitness Center
Restaurant
Indoor Swimming Pool
Free Internet available
Free Internet
Indoor or Outdoor Pool
==> Radisson Hotel Hauppauge-Long Island

3* Macarthur Airport (ISP) (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $101/nite with:
Free Parking
Restaurant
Free Internet available
Free Internet
==> Ramada Plaza Holtsville Long Island... although the two above would seem to be a better choice than this one, imo, based upon the reviews

Would any of the above work for your needs?  Most notably, i think the one believed to be the Residence Inn most closely matches what you're looking for (as well as has the best reviews) but the question is if it's worth an extra $15/nite over your target budget.

Thanks for the suggestion. We’ve changed our plans and decided to just get one room. Suites not needed.

is it possible to have a bid strategy for $100 max/night for 3* ?

Stonybrook, Haupage and Airport areas are ok, as you suggested above.

thanks. Noela

I assume that you're bidding for 2 rooms (given your bidding maximum and previous parameters from your first post)?

Select 3* Stonybrook
Bid $70, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...
Select 3* Hauppauge
Bid $70, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...
Select 3* Airport
Bid $70, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Select 3* Stonybrook and Hauppauge
Bid $75, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...
Select 3* Stonybrook and Airport
Bid $75, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Select 3* Stonybrook, Hauppauge, Airport
Bid $80

If the above is rejected wait 24 hour and re-try (once again using our Bidding For Hotel Rooms website for quick and easy access to the priceline bidding page, and not using a link in any emails from priceline indicating that you're eligible to bid again) :

Select 3* Stonybrook
Bid $85, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...
Select 3* Hauppauge
Bid $85, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...
Select 3* Airport
Bid $85, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Select 3* Stonybrook and Hauppauge
Bid $90, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...
Select 3* Stonybrook and Airport
Bid $90, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Select 3* Stonybrook, Hauppauge, Airport
Bid $95

If the above too is rejected, then this would become your least expensive option when combined with the board's Priceline Coupon:

3* Macarthur Airport (ISP) (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $101/nite with:
Free Parking
Restaurant
Free Internet available
Free Internet
==> Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Holtsville Long Island our best guess here
