travelestaa
HI - looking for advice on a Las Vegas casino hotel booking for a group. Travel dates are 7/19 - 7/22. Will need about 5 rooms. Hoping for something fairly centrally located on the strip, but flexible on location. Good facilities (especially a great swimming pool) are more important. Budget range of $70-110 per room night. (I've seen in other forum posts people listing prices down to $50, are these likely?) Any suggestions on hotels or booking site would be appreciated :-) Thanks! Link to comment

travelestaa
I've got final details, but the booking has become a bit complex. 7/19 - 1 suite, 1 king, 2 queen 7/20 - 1 suite, 1 king, 4 queen 7/21 - 1 suite, 1 king, 5 queen What would be the best way to process a booking like this? thereuare
The short answer is that you're not going to be able to book the above and guarantee that everybody gets what they want. There are a variety of issues, but first and foremost is that you can't change the number of rooms that you need over a given date range. You could make one purchase for the number of rooms that you need for a given nite, and then make another purchase for the number of rooms you need for the next nite... but you then potentially run into a situation where the hotel you won on the first nite is no longer available for the next (and subsequent) nites. There are a host of other issues, not the least of which will be that you're also likely going to find that everyone has a different idea of what their budget should be (especially those looking for a suite). The easiest way to make a booking is to make a regular rate purchase (if you go this route please use our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com). However, if your budget is in the $70-$110 range i think you may not find the quality of hotel that you're expecting. For example, for 7/19-7/22 you could book something like: 5* The Strip - Southwest (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $113/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> best guess for this one would be Delano Las Vegas At Mandalay Bay... whereas 'nice 4 star hotels on the strip start at about $175+ per nite The PRICELINE EXPRESS property above does seem to appear when searching for 7/19-7/20, 7/20-7/21, and 7/21-7/22... and a bed choice is given for each search, so the above may be an option for you, but you still run into the situation that after the first purchase the hotel no longer appears for subsequent nites so you could therefore also try to purchase as: 7/19-7/22 - 1 suite room 7/19-7/22 1 King room 7/19-7/22 2 Queen rooms 7/20-7/22 2 Queen rooms 7/21-7/22 1 Queen room (the above assumes that everyone is departing on the same day but different arrivals) If you do decide to book as per the above please ask everyone that may be booking on their own to stop by and start their purchases using the PRICELINE links here on the board... or confirm the different date ranges you need and we will supply links for each) Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.
