MooseWisco
Hi, trying to get idea of what hotel would get with the 4 star express deal on priceline in the grant park area. Staying Feb 23&24. Currently price is listed as $64 a night. Amenities listed, pets allowed, business center, free internet, non smoking Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbbidding! I'm seeing on PRICELINE EXPRESS when searching for 2/23-25 (please confirm the correct dates of travel are showing on the detail page after clicking the link below.) 4* Chicago Loop - Grant Park for $64 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>Best guess would be the W City Center. This W property (which was heavily renovated a few years back) is not the most conviently located from a tourist perspective, but $64 is certainly a very reasonable rate. Would you rather be closer to Michigan Ave? If so, what would be your desired max budget per night for this stay? Let us know what you decide or if we can be of any further assistance. MooseWisco
Thank you for the information! As part of plans include going to Millennial Park, State Street and over to Hammond with minimal driving in mind. The max budget is about $85 per night. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Link to comment
AaronJB
If MP and State Street are primary sights, then the potential W would be fine. I'm seeing on HOTWIRE: 4* Theater District - Loop for $65.00 Pet Friendly Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa ==> The W City Center would be my best guess in this case as well (it has been previously seen with this amenity set) plus if you use the Hotwire promotion in my signature that takes $15 off - making this $57.50 a night before taxes/fees. Two other nearby options I'll highlight: PRICELINE EXPRESS (please confirm the correct dates of travel are showing on the detail page after clicking the link below.) 4.5* Chicago Loop - Grant Park for $84 Pets Allowed Business Center Free Internet No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>Best guess here would be the Hyatt Centric Loop. Newer property with a slightly better location. 3.5* Chicago Loop - Grant Park for $87 Free Breakfast Pets Allowed Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet >>>This would be a possible match for the Residence Inn Loop, which is a fairly new Residence Inn. Free breakfast and larger room. Listing has a 9+ customer rating showing. The potential W for $57 and change would be a super reasonable option for a 4* property. If you are looking for a newer/higher rated hotel, the potential Hyatt Centric would be an option. If breakfast and a larger room would be of interest, the potential Residence would be an option. You know it's going to cost you regardless, so just choose a public lot separate from your hotel as it will be cheaper than parking with the hotel itself. AaronJB
You can park in one of the city lots at Grant Park or Millennium Park. http://www.millenniumgarages.com/rates/. It's really not very far from these lots to the hotels mentioned above and you can go to Millennium Park while you're over by it at one of these lots. Let us know if you have any city or hotel questions and thank you for keeping us updated on what you decide.
