fourholesn1
I'm going to spend two nights before Christmas in LV and want to stay on the Strip, preferably Central. Is this a very busy time? Should I take a deal now or just wait until a few months before? I'd like to book a 4* for around $100 per night with all fees included, is that's possible? Link to comment
thereuare
This is actually a very slow time of year in Las Vegas... generally no conferences just before the holidays and discretionary income (for gambling) is usually a little tighter with extra money often going towards presents for family and friends. However, your $100 all-in budget may be a bit optimistic as most Strip hotels now charge anywhere from $35-$45 resort fees, so even on the low end you're now looking at $65 before fees/taxes, which would then bring your room rate down to about $50/nite. The closest I'm currently seeing that meets your needs would be this HOTWIRE offer: 4* North Strip - Fashion Show Mall for $60.00 Free Parking Resort Casino Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> best guess here would be TI - Treasure Island Hotel and Casino (which all-in comes to about $108/nite) If you were willing to stretch your budget a bit you could be more centrally located and a step up in quality with this one: 4* HOTWIRE Center Strip - Eiffel Tower for $95.00 Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> which i'm guessing to be Paris (and also puts you over the minimum to use the current HOTWIRE promo at the top of the page and in my signature for $30 off) One more option (confirm your dates on the landing page of the link provided below): 4.5* The Strip - Northwest for $72 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess here would be The Mirage (and you're eligible for the additional 5% off promo at top of the page and in my signature) Any of the above work for your needs this trip? fourholesn1
That's fantastic info, thanks! I like the last option, have stayed at the Mirage before and liked it. Do you think prices will change any over time or should I lock it in now? Link to comment
AaronJB
There's no way to know if rates will go lower between now and your stay, unfortunately - rates definitely do not always go down closer to the dates; in recent years as demand has been high, rates have often headed higher. Even in a slow season though, there may not be that much downside as hotels generally have a "floor" for rates. The other concern is that if you did like the Mirage and want to stay there again, there is the possibility that rates may not go up but the Mirage may run out of discount inventory and that listing gets replaced with another possibility that you're not as interested/not interested in.
