stoddaj1
We will be visiting Vegas for the first time on the above dates. I've been looking for weeks to find a decent hotel that we can afford. Apparently there is a big fight that weekend that is making the weekend prices ridiculous even before resort fees are added. We would like to be on the strip or very easy walking distance to the strip, pool(s) and very clean. We are not looking for upscale, though that would be nice but not within our price range of under $100 or slightly over if fees are included. We can bid or get express deal either on Priceline or Hotwire. Any help would be very much appreciated as I'm making myself crazy looking for hotel deals! We may also be willing to change hotels though would prefer not to do so if possible. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Few comments / suggestions / hotel guesses (confirm your dates of travel on the landing pages of any links provided below): 3* The Strip - Southwest for $95 Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess would be the Excalibur; far from my favorite hotel in Las Vegas but does get you into a 'themed' hotel (even if that theme is a castle) across the street from NYNY, MGM, and not too far of a walk to the mid-strip properties 3.5* The Strip - Northeast for $118 (using the link in my signature makes this just slightly over budget) Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> Harrahs would be my best guess for this one. No theme and holder is getting older, but it's a very central location that you will be able to 'casino hop' to many different places from here 4* HOTWIRE Center Strip - Eiffel Tower for $126.00 Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> best guess here would be Paris Las Vegas which would be a big jump in quality vs. the other two above (perhaps the discount HOTWIRE link in my signature or at the top of the board can bring this to only slightly over budget) Any of the above work for you? I'm quite familiar with Vegas if you have additional questions regarding the properties above or any other questions in general about the city. stoddaj1
Thank you for your input. I am from Canada so am unable to use the Hotwire coupon unfortunately. Is Paris Hotel one of the Priceline choises. I believe I could use the discount code for that one. I noticed on Hotwire we could get a great price for Aug 23-25 4 1/2* Caesar's Palace for 91$ cdn plus fees. What do you think of this one? Link to comment
thereuare
Confirm your dates on the landing page of the provided link for this PRICELINE EXPRESS deal: 4* The Strip - Central East for $134 Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess for this one would be the Paris Las Vegas (although i can't rule out Planet Hollywood, although i think Paris is the more likely of the two) As far as Caesar's Palace goes i'm not a huge fan of the property as the standard rooms are not that great, imo, and it's a long walk to get from the hotel to the strip (due to the property being set back a bit from the street). Even if you do decide to go for Caedars for the first two nites, what do you do for the last 3 nites... i'm then seeing rates of $175 or so for Bally's/Harrahs (other cheaper properties i'm seeing are on the northern end of the strip, near Stratosphere, Circus Circus, etc. where you don't really want to stay, imo) so when you average it out i don't think you're really gaining much. If you did want to SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID i would sooner take (confirm your dates of 8/238/25 on the landing page of the link provided below): 4* The Strip - Central East for $46 Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> guessed to be Paris, but just like Caesar's above, you then have to figure out what you're doing to do for the more expensive remaining 3 nites Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
