meeshy9
First let me say thank you to everyone for this wonderful site. I was directed over here from the Cruise Critic message boards to try to find a cheap hotel room for our pre-cruise stay. Everyone's advice on the priceline bidding process made me less nervous about re-bids, etc.I had originally planned on hotwire - looking for something in Downtown Miami. The cheapest I could find (that was at leat 3*) was in the $50 range before taxes/fees. I saw some priceline bids in the $30 range so I checked priceline, and got it on the 3rd try (initial, then 2 rebids).I originally bid $30 for a 3*, Downtown Miami only. That was rejected, but priceline said it would be accepted if I increased $8. Armed with my message board knowledge, I rebid by adding Southwest Miami (which doesn't have anything above 2.5*) and making my bid $33. That was also rejected. Next I added North Miami (also nothing above 2.5*) and made my bid $35. That was accepted! :) So I found out I got the Radisson - I haven't seen any reviews of this hotel, I'll be sure to post when I get home. Thanks again, and here's some more info:Check-In Date: Sat, Oct 18, 2003 Check-In Time: After 03:00 PM Check-Out Date: Sun, Oct 19, 2003 Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM Your Offer Price: $35.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $35.00 Taxes andService Fees: $10.83 Total Charges: $45.83 Michele Link to comment

barryh
Michelle:I look forward to your review of the Radisson as I booked it for April 10, 2004 on Hotline for $40 (total $53). Some of the reviews have not been too flattering. We booked for cheap room prior to our cruise. I'm also on CC. Link to comment
