thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! 7 hours ago, Candi2511 said: Would like a higher guest rated hotel. When bidding on PRICELINE you need to be willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) that you bid. If you would like to try to target a higher rated hotel then you will need to use PRICELINE EXPRESS (or HOTWIRE) where a user review rating is provided. Let us know your thoughts as to how you'd like to proceed and we will advise accordingly. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Candi2511
Yes, accepting any hotel for the rated star category is fine. I have used Priceline bidding before. This site seems to help people to strategically bid. I am usually just guessing blindly. Link to comment

When bidding 4* in NYC you have TEN re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. (also, in your original list you included MSG twice, which is why there are only 6 zones below when you included 7 in your original post): Select 4* ESB, Rock Center, MSG, UES, UWS... Candi2511
4*+ Manhattan areas that will accommodate that star quality and pricing 9/17 - 9/20 $215/night free wifi Link to comment
AaronJB
Please keep all posts for this stay within this thread - thanks. There is no way to guarantee free wifi when bidding unless it is noted as a guaranteed amenity when you click on the particular zone and star rating, but you're not likely to find that in NYC at the 4* level. If you want free wifi, you can look for a listing on PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE with that as a guaranteed amenity, but I'd rather bid less and figure the savings go towards wifi. Unfortunately, these dates are expensive so while you can certainly start lower, it may take $225-235+ depending on zone.
