Hotwire Hotel: 5*, Strip central

Hello!

Traveling to Vegas on the above dates (7 nights).

I used HOTWIRE to search for 5* hotel on the north strip with casino in order to avoid the Trump. 

Right now all I am seeing are rates around 320$ per night excluding taxse. 

What should I do? Maybe it's to early and i should wait 2-3 weeks?

Another option is the Aria and only the Aria in this area of the strip.

I am looking to pay for 250$ max.

Any big conventions on my dates that effect the rates?

Is the Center Strip and/or South Strip acceptable as well?  Note that the Aria is not the only 5* hotel in its zone... if there is a hotel you think is the Aria, and that is an acceptable hotel that you would purchase at this time, let us know the full details showing for the property (room rate per nite, amenities assocaited with offer, etc) and we will have a look.

 

While prices in Vegas fluctuate more than any other hotel market in the country, you do have a lot of conventions taking place during your dates above, and that is likely the reason for the higher than expected prices you're currently seeing:

10/15/2016-10/18/2016 12K attendees

10/17/2016-10/22/2016 15K

10/18/2016-10/21/2016 14K

10/18/2016-10/20/2016 10K

10/19/2016-10/21/2016 7K

10/21/2016-10/23/2016 14K

 

So for example, for the nite of 10/18, there will be approximately 40K conference attendees in town, and that is assuming none from the first conference stay an extra nite afterwards to relax, unwind, tear down their booths, close any pending deals, etc.

Strip center is OK but I don't want to stay at the Bellagio. Only Aria or cosmopolitan if it's the city center.

If it's the Strip north every 5* hotel is OK except Trump.

Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option... or not at this stage of the game?

It's not an option. 

I saw right now 5* center strip - fountains.

Which hotel is it?

The 5* Center $252 has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board. The Nobu would be a guess, but it may be something else not yet reported.

I decided to wait for 2-3 weeks and than i will make the reservation.

Let us know once you're ready to commit to a purchase, as the hotels currently available may not be the ones that offered 2-3 weeks from now once you're ready to move forward... we will be more than happy to research any properties that are available for your dates once you're ready to move forward with a purchase.

Not sure which zone the 4.5* HOTWIRE offer you listed above is located in, but you can find The Mirage listed in both the Hotwire Hotel List and the Priceline Hotel LIst to see the zones they were last reported to the board.

I won't take this Hotwire offer because of two reasons. 

First, we can't be sure that's Aria. Second, there is right now much better offer if I  will make reservation directly from the hotel.
