fourholesn1
I have booked the BEST WESTERN Bowery Hanbee Hotel for $207 refundable and I'm wondering if I can do much better with Priceline, what do you think? I'd want a 3* or better somewhere between Chinatown and the middle of Central Park roughly. I could cancel this hotel and re-book it non-refundable to upgrade to King Bed from Queen and pick up a free breakfast for $2 more a night so I think I would do that if you don't think I can do better bidding. thereuare
If you didn't, please use our sister site RefundableRates.com for your back-up reservations... it not only supports the board, but it also provides a great interface (the filter and sort options work great) to weigh your refundable options and compare how much more/less it would cost to go up/down in star rating OR to stay closer/further from your ideal location. As far as this trip, PRICELINE EXPRESS has this 3* Lower East Side - Chinatown hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $152/nite with: Business Center Free Internet Free Breakfast Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> my best guess for this one would be the BEST WESTERN Bowery Hanbee Hotel so exactly what you have now but for less... do you want to lock this in at this price? i also see (again, confirm all dates on the landing pages) this 3* Upper West Side hotel for $177/nite with: Business Center Free Internet Condo No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> guess here would be The Milburn Hotel Either of the above work for your needs/budget? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help. fourholesn1
You were correct, it is the BEST WESTERN Bowery Hanbee Hotel so I upgraded from Queen to King plus got free breakfast and saved $250. Excellent! I bought the trip insurance for $35 so that cut into the savings but still a great deal. Thanks! I used your PRICELINE link. Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your success! Glad to see it was the hotel you were hoping and you saw some very nice savings vs. your back-up booking at the same hotel. Not too far from this hotel i recommend this place:Economy Candy 108 Rivington --> it's usually crowded but the line moves quickly and they have a HUGE assortment of candies, nuts, and other bulk items from both yesterday and today (if you like chocolate covered graham crackers, or even if you don't, you wont find any better than what they sell here (by the pound behind the counter)... i'm not a fan of dark chocolate but i like the dark chocolate better than the milk chocolate when it comes to these) Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
