thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Few issues to address: You typically can't choose or bid on a specific property with PRICELINE. The deeply discounted rates that you often see others win their hotels for is in exchange for being flexible in the hotel that you ultimately receive, and you need to be willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) that you choose. If you're trying to target a specific property then PRICELINE EXPRESS and/or HOTWIRE are usually better options as you can sometimes use the amenities/description provided to guess as to the hotel that is being offered, but you have to get lucky in that the hotel you want is the one that is currently being offered (as only a few hotels at each star level within each zone are offered for any given set of dates) As well, current rates for your dates at the Hyatt Place Nashville Downtown start at $332/nite. My guess is that there is some event taking place (either in this area or at this hotel specifically) that is causing rates to be high. so the chances of winning something during at more than 50%+ discount seems very low. I am seeing this 3.5* Downtown Hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $139/nite with: Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ... my best guess here would be the Millennium Maxwell House Nashville, and while perhaps not your first choice of hotel in the zone, it is within your budget and at current rates i'm not see too much within your budget. At this price could you make this work for your needs? If not, you could try using our partner site RefundableRates.com to find something in the area (or the Hyatt Place specifically) at a rate that can be canceled and you could then continue to monitor PRICELINE EXPRESS and/or HOTWIRE to see if you get lucky and have the Hyatt Place appear thru one of the 'opaque' suppliers (or monitor MAPS and HOTELS.com for any rate drops at the Hyatt Place which you could cancel/re-book) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know your thoughts (and questions) or what you decide and we'll take it from there. thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel, use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the upper right corner of the page to edit the topic title to reflect your win and to provide the details of your purchase. This helps keep the board better organized by reducing the number of unresolved threads that don't have any follow-up or conclusion. Best guess for this 3.5* Downtown Nashville hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $169/nite with the amenities above would be the Millennium Maxwell House Nashville (a pool added to the amenity set since my previous post above 3 weeks ago) Have you booked a back-up hotel at RefundableRates.com? If so, where and how much? Are you only interested in the Hyatt Place or are you open to other hotels as well? Have you increased your budget from the previously stated $150/nite?
