5* London (Mayfair - Piccadilly Circus - Soho) 11/19-11/23 193$

 

The price looks a little too good and I am concerned that I will be stuck with a non mainstream 5* that is really a 2-3*.   Any guidance on what these may be?

 

A Note:  from 2012-2014 I have used priceline/hotwire in this area to book 8-10 hotels.  I always ended up with the Metropolitan of Le Meridien.  Both amazing deals using HOTWIRE or PRICELINE.  I am not sure what people are ending up with nowadays!

While we're glad to hear you've had some amazing deals over the years, it's disappointing that this is only your second thread on the board (nor was your other topic for the Le Meriiden)... it would be appreciated if you started to share your wins so that others can benefit from the information, just as you are hoping to gain insight from those who have posted before you.

These amenities are common for a 5* hotel in tihs area, but my guess for this one would be the Sheraton London Park Lane Hotel.

Thank you the the assistance.  To note: previouslly coworkers who stayed at this hotel complained that it was dated, overpriced.  Second note:  I believe the rooms have been mostly updated over the past two years with some outstanding.  I imagine using a bidding site I would have a higher risk of being stuck in a dated room.  Being my honeymoon,  I am passing on this for now and will probably book though a typical sight of possibly HOTWIRE / PRICELINE in the kensington area.  

 

I will follow up with the outcome.
