JTEEdaGreat
Hi everyone, I am trying to book a last minute trip to Vegas (5/28-5/29), and came across this express deal on Priceline. Any guesses on what it is? 4 Star Hotel in Las Vegas Strip South Area for $210/night Guaranteed Amenities: Free Parking Business Center Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Link to comment
AaronJB
This would be a possible match for the Monte Carlo. Please keep us updated with what you decide and let us know if you have additional questions. thereuare
Not sure if you made your purchase yet (if you did please report your win), but if not, note that the current 4* offer is now priced at $223/nite and the amenity set has changed slightly, and therefore is likely a different property than the one guessed above. thereuare
Monte Carlo Resort and Casino would be my best guess for this PRICELINE EXPRESS offer. JTEEdaGreat
Would you say that is a good deal for the Monte Carlo? Great deal? Average deal? Link to comment
thereuare
It's OK, about $50 off for the nite... i would sooner spend another $20 and take this 5* Strip South property (confirm your nite on the landing page) for $237/nite with: Pets Allowed Business Center Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ... for which my guess would be the Vdara which would be a big step up in quality, imo. Or if you need a hotel with a casino this 4.5* in the Strip North zone for $226/nite with: Business Center Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ... the Mirage would be my guess here Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. JTEEdaGreat
I'm in my mid-20s and going with friends, so would you still suggest the Vdara for someone like me looking for a lively environment? Maybe with a nice pool (pool parties) and more of a younger crowd? I'll do a little research as well but I'm willing to sacrifice a little bit higher quality for a more social experience. This will be my first time in Vegas so any advice would help. I would like to stay in the $180-$240 price range for a 4 or 5 star hotel in the south (or center) strip vicinity. Its just for one night 5/28-5/29. Link to comment
thereuare
One nite in Vegas is not nearly enough to really experience it. I would think either the Vdara or the Mirage would be good... Vdara is a bit more upscale and doesn't have a casino... The Mirage is 'new classic' Vegas, has a good sports book (impressive to see all the TVs), a few bars and clubs (long line of your peer group on my last trip there), and across the street from Palazzo and Venetian which are both very big on the club scene (as is Caesars next door) If you're truly willing to spend the money i would go for the 5* Strip North PRICELINE EXPRESS property for $243/nite with: Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities (just make sure you see CASINO listed to make sure you're avoiding The Trump) ... this would likely be The Palazzo which is first class all the way, tons of good (expensive) restaurants, and between here and the attached Venetian you'll have plenty of clubs to choose from as well (and Caesars and Mirage across the street) If this is over your budget either of the previous two will suffice, but you may want a casino hotel given it's your first Vegas trip so you should at least see some gambling at your hotel to make it a 'real' experience. Any of the above would be worth the extra $20-$30 over the Monte Carlo, imo. Let us know what you decide or if we can be of further help. JTEEdaGreat
We're actually staying 3-nights but I got a good deal at Ballys for $75 a night for the Thurs & Fri nights (5/26-5-28). They didn't have the deal for Saturday tho so I figured it'd be a good chance for us to experience two diff hotels in 1 trip anyways which might be more cool. But anyways I took your word for it and got the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $242/night and I got the Palazzo just like you expected! It says I saved 37% so thanks I really appreciate it !
