Hi

I have two hotels in Chicago Mag mile river north on Nov 26-27, which are

4.5* Magnificent Mile Area - River North area boutique hotel ($82)

Boutique Hotel, Fitness center, Pet friendly, Self-service laundry, Business center, Internet access, Restaurant, Smoke-free rooms

4.5* Magnificent Mile Area - River North area hotel ($97)

Free internet, Business center, Fitness center, Pet friendly, Restaurants, Spa services, Accessible for visuallly impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired

Both of them are 95% recommended and for the latter one, it is said that the last person got The James.

Is it confirmed as The James for the latter one?

I would like to know the first one as well.

Thank you.

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

If you go to Bidding.helper, then click "Hotwire Easy View", then get the full list of amenities, do you see:

4.5* Mag Mile-RN $82

Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Pet Friendly

-- Not yet ID'd, but a guess would be that the Westin River North may now be showing with a boutique amenity.

4.5* Mag Mile-RN $97

I'm seeing the amenities for this listing when looking at BiddingHelper.com as: Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly

-- If you are seeing this list of amenities, this would be a match for the Intercontinental. If you are still seeing the other list of amenities, let us know.

The "Last Person Got..." message is not Hot.wire giving away the underlying hotel, it is the last hotel won at that star rating in that zone, which may or may not be the underlying hotel, so that is not a reliable indicator.

With the BiddingHelper.com, the first hotel is shown as

Full amenities: Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant, Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access

The second hotel is not currently shown in the list, but I found a similar one in Magmile-RN which has amenities shown in the BiddingHelper.com as

Full amenities: Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant, Business center, Internet access

I am still hesitating which one to choose.

The issue with the Westin or other hotels along the river is that river view is a paid upgrade, which is not guaranteed with a discount reservation. That said, I will say that a high floor river view room at the Westin offers classic Chicago views.

This property: 4.5* Mag Mile-RN Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Pet Friendly - has not yet been reported to the board. The Westin River North with the addition of a boutique amenity would be only a guess.

4.5* Loop-Theater District $85 w/Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly

-- Would be a possible match for the Wyndham Grand Riverfront, which would be another property by the river, this one right off Michigan Ave.

There's also a 3.5* in the Mag Mile-RN area for $65 w/Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower

-- This would likely be the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza, where a number of rooms have river views and there's a bar area with tremendous views right off to the side from check-in. However, the 4.5*'s above are nicer and better-located for $20 or so more.
